art crimes fremantle
Art Crimes Freo has been a labour of love shot over the past two years. I wanted to capture the awesome contrast of these derelict buildings and the fresh layers of paint that appear and disappear from their walls over time.
These buildings, now neglected and decaying, once served as the workplaces of hundreds of men and women. Though long since shut down, they live on as fascinating historical structures and places where young people choose to express themselves through their art.
I have a lot of respect for these artists and believe it is important to document what they do. And as the future of these buildings remain unknown, I want to capture them as they are today... in a state of beautiful decay.
The photos in this exhibition are all limited edition. They are fine art Giclee prints using archival quality inks and mat lamination to ensure an archival life greater than 75 years. All prints are mounted on 10mm Gator Board – a rigid, durable medium suitable for hanging as is or framing.
I love what I do and hope you do too.
